We were happy to hear today that Sex::Tech Conference 2008 (sponsored in part by yours truly, Condom Man) was a great success that fueled a tremendous amount of media attention and publicity for their campaign to promote safe sex in America. National news outlets were on-hand to cover the event, from NPR to CBS and NBC news and its local affiliates, the Washington Post and more.
Over 350 professionals in the field of education, technology and safe sex were on hand to discuss safe sex issues important to American youth, and how to best utilize today’s technology to ensure people get the information and resources that they need to make proper decisions about safe sex.
To hear of the tremendous response that they experienced was uplifting to hear. We were very proud to be able to provide ISIS - short for Internet Sexuality Information Services, i.e. the host of the event - with free condoms, Condom Man vibrating rings and flyers for them to distribute at future events that they host and participate in.
In the battle against teenage pregnancy and the rising rate of STD infections in the US, education is the most essential component. With this new media comes new and unparalleled opportunities to educate American youth and we are happy to play whatever part we can towards that end.
Rock on,
Condom Man
