We have all heard it: “I don’t like wearing condoms because it doesn’t feel the same.” Well, it is undeniable that wearing a condom while having sex will make the intercourse feel different, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, some guys like to use thicker condoms during intercourse because it helps them last longer. Regardless of your feelings about condoms, it is also undeniable that using condoms is the safest way to keep yourself protected when having sex.
If you are having problems with lose of sensation when using a condom, you probably should put on condom lubricants. You might think that it is not necessary to put on condom lubricants because the condoms already come with lubrication. Despite the fact that they come with lubrication, you still might need to put on condom lubrication in order to have enough to make intercourse feel better.
If you are going to put on condom lubrication, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First of all, you should never put on condom lubrication that is oil based. These include:
• Baby oil
• Bath oil
• Body lotion
• Cooking oil
• Hand cream
• Hair conditioner
• Massage oil
• Petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline
• Suntan lotion
I know that some of these may sound strange, but we have heard of people trying all of these oil-based products for lubrication. While some of these can have a good lubricating quality, such as petroleum jelly, known of them should be used with condoms. When you put on condom lubricants that are oil-based, you will risk destroying the latex in the condoms. In addition, oil-based lubricants have a tendency to linger inside the vagina after intercourse. Therefore, using oil-based lubricants can increase your chances of suffering from a vaginal infection – even when you don’t use a condom.
So, the first thing you need to do when you put on condom lubricants is to find a lubricant that is water-based. But, if you are going to put on condom lubricants, you might also want to find one that will give you some added protection. For example, you might want to put on condom lubricants that include spermicide, just be aware that some people are allergic to spermicide and they can cause little sores to develop. Therefore, proceed with caution when using a spermicide.
Once you have decided on the lubricant you will use, it is easy to actually put on condom lubricants. First, you need to actually put the condom on your erect penis. After you have unrolled the condom onto your penis and made sure to have a reservoir at the tip of the penis, you are ready to put on condom lubrication. Simply squeeze some lubricant into your hand and then rub it onto the condom. Obviously, this can be a very erotic action. Therefore, you might want to work it into your foreplay action and have your partner rub on the lubricant. Not only will this be exciting for you, getting the lubricant on the condom will also make the sex better for both of you.
