Learning How to Put on a Condom

The first thing you need to know when learning how to put on a condom is to use care when opening the package.  Don’t use scissors or your teeth because you may accidentally tear the condom.  Once you remove the condom, do not unroll it.  Not only will this make the condom more difficult to put on, it will also make it more likely to rip or tear.

After the condom is removed, the next step in how to put on a condom is to place the condom on the tip of your erect penis and then unroll it down the shaft. If you have difficulty unrolling the condom, you might have put it on the wrong way.  In this case, you will need to throw the condom away and use a new one if you are going to actually have sex.  If you are just learning how to put on a condom and do not plan to have sex with the condom, however, you can simply flip the condom over and then unroll it.

If you purchased a condom with a reservoir tip, you should unroll the condom completely and allow the reservoir tip to remain limp.  If your condom does not have a reservoir tip, on the other hand, you will need to leave a little bit of space at the tip of the condom so the semen can be collected safely.
